Synoptic Situation
A high over the Tasman Sea is moving eastwards and extends a ridge along the
east Queensland coast.

Peninsula Waters, Torres Strait to Cooktown:
Thursday until midnight: Wind: SE 20/25 knots. Sea: 2.2 metres. Swell: SE 2
metres outside the reef. Showers.
Friday: Wind: SE 20/25 knots. Sea: 2.2 metres. Swell: SE 2 metres outside the
reef. Isolated showers.
Saturday: Wind: SE 20/25 knots.
Sunday: Wind: SE 20/25 knots.

North Tropical Waters, Cooktown to Cardwell:
Thursday until midnight: Wind: SE 15/20 knots, reaching 20/25 knots north of
Cairns. Sea: 1.7 to 2.2 metres outside the reef and 1.2 metres inside the reef.
Swell: E/SE 2 metres outside the reef. Isolated showers.
Friday: Wind: SE 15/20 knots, reaching 20/25 knots north of Cairns until
afternoon. Sea: 1.7 to 2.2 metres outside the reef and 1.2 metres inside the
reef. Swell: E/SE 2 metres outside the reef. Scattered showers.
Saturday: Wind: SE 15/20 knots.
Sunday: Wind: SE 15/20 knots, possibly reaching to 20/25 knots north of Cairns.

Tropical Waters, Cardwell to Bowen:
Thursday until midnight: Wind: E/SE 15/20 knots, with afternoon E/NE sea
breezes inshore. Sea: 1.6 metres. Isolated showers.
Friday: Wind: E/SE 15/20 knots. Lighter SE winds inshore, tending E/NE 10/15
knots with the afternoon sea breeze. Sea: 1.6 metres. Isolated showers.
Saturday: Wind: E/SE 15/20 knots, shifting NE inshore during the afternoon.
Sunday: Wind: E/SE 15/20 knots, shifting NE inshore during the afternoon.

Central Coast Waters, Bowen to St Lawrence:
Thursday until midnight: Wind: SE/E 10/15 knots, with inshore afternoon NE sea
breezes. Sea: 1.2 metres. Local sea fog. Isolated showers.
Friday: Wind: SE/E 10/15 knots, with inshore afternoon NE sea breezes. Sea: 1.2
metres. Local sea fog. Isolated showers.
Saturday: Wind: SE/E 10/15 knots, with inshore afternoon NE sea breezes.
Sunday: Wind: SE/E 10/15 knots, with inshore afternoon NE sea breezes.
