I see this event listed on the WWA website for 5-6 December but there's been no mention of it here. Does anyone know if it's happening?
They also have a safety bay slalom round on the 5th so are they going to either cancel it or move it to another weekend.
Screamin Leeman is definitely on and registrations are open. www.windsurfingwa.org.au/events/73408/
The slalom date has been removed as it was a backup date.
OK cool! I have entered too.
Maybe it's all over Facebook or something, but it's not a bad idea to mention events like this in the Seabreeze forums to get maximum exposure...just saying'
For anyone thinking about this race - it's always awesome and it generally blows its titties off. Bring your 4.0. If fact, I would say that finishing this race was the hardest single thing, physically, that I had to do to do in all of 2019. And it was windier the year before that . That also means that you don't need all of the new-fangled 110% carbon much-improved 2022 model race kit to be competitive.
See you up there!
At this stage there are only 18 entries and the race will not go ahead if we don't get to 40. Forecast looks epic but unfortunately numbers are very low. We need everyone to register tonight as if we don't get to 40 racers by Monday, we will need to pull the plug:(
