Still have a 105 in the shed, was the first board I used with a foil acually I never sold it because at the time is was such an out of the box design and worked really well I thought...maybe there is life in the old girl yet. I don't think we have quite such accurate pitch control though

I got a 125 still...in Puerto Rico.
Problem can be front wing too far back, with stock tuttle setting. Gotta place front wing between straps.

Are they any good for foiling?
I've never really seen one, but I think they might really do well with a foil.

If your foil has the front wing placed very far forward, like RRD, it might work fine.
For Naish WS, might need another 4" via P Plate to get front wing COE between footstraps.

Local master foiler here (Bob) has been using a Hypersonic since day one (4+ years of foiling) Its the most Frankenstein board I have ever seen, so many battle scars etc! but he is still foiling it every week with the Slingshot HG foil (TC 68 and I84).

These low aspect-ratio shovel-shaped wings seem to have a very broad center of lift. I use a i76 in B position on an old formula board with the finbox in the stock position way far aft. It balances just fine and works well.

Hyper was modern.
Why not revive the Starboard W-75 from 1998?

Nice one!
Style points for having the life jacket straped to the inside of the harness

I love my 105 hypersonic but haven't tried foiling with it!

Has he modified it or just use it as is with massive foot straps so your not on the rail?

I've used mine with the Pinkie - works well, and F4/NP foil - also worst well.

With the Naish foil it was ok but not great. I prefer to be right over the mast with the back foot on that foil.

Used it yesterday with a 5.2 wing but a 9" wave fin.
Planed ok in gusts of 17, my lack of skill taking me downwind every run.

Did you reinforce the finbox?
