my dealer says they are only selling it with a tail for the first round of shipments, I'll have to pay yet another 20% "tail tax" to get ahold of one quickly. On the plus side it includes a wing cover now

I am bitter with those clowns about that ridiculous marketing svheme. I have two of those terrible stabs that cost me about 800canadian once the dust settled.

It doesn't sounds like your dealer appreciates your business. Had my dealer told me that I would have told him to take the stab and sh... well, you know the rest. Luckily I can usually score 20% discount.
It comes with the new smaller 178 stab, so if you don't already have one it might be worth picking it up, plus it should be easier to sell to another Takuma owner.

Where did you hear/see it includes the wing cover's please ?

Mercato ??? Adam is definetly the guy to get on a team !
Great shot, Thanks!
RS 1000 looking decidedly... generic (aside from being red which is always better)
So far haven't come across any video of high bank angle carves with the tip out, the steps are really the main selling point for me. Otherwise it's a red 880.

the 880 is a riot

For starters you should expect an 81cm wing span to turn much better than an 88cm wing span and that is not even taking into account the additional contribution the stepped section makes to easy of turning while stable in pitch.
The steps make the RS along with the takuma the least generic looking but depends how you like your marketing and what you are looking for in foil.
Maybe your just stirring but it is hard not to see the footage of the new gofoil wings with the tips out and stable. Gofoil instagram sites would be a good place to start.
I have both , stand by for a review
Awesome, really looking forward to hearing it mate!
First session out with the 1095 and KDMaui 13.5
was previously on the 999 exclusively for a few months. Sup foil in the surf, with great waves this morning - head high breaking nicely into a channel. need a few more sessions and maybe some tail experimentation. But for now I'd say it pumps very similar to the 1210 with a little less low end to get out of a hole. It definitely has more glide. It turns pretty nicely - maybe a little better than the 999 and pretty similar to the 1210. It rolls side to side easily and is stable in hard carves.
There is no question in my mind that I can pump the 999 much much easier. Based on my first session, The 999 has the edge because it turns pretty similar but has much better low end pump.
Got to try the art 999.. compared to the kujira 1210 I would say it pumps and glides better, more front foot pressure, slightly less turning ability, a bit more sudden loss of lift around the stall (probably due to the lack of tubercules on the leading edge), less tolerant around high angle of attack during pumping, harder to pump out of a low speed situation (to be fair might be due to a lack of experience with this particular wing). In my view the kujira 1095 should rather be compared to the art 899 (that I have not tried), the kujira 1210 and art 999 feel very similar overall, the 1095 feels very different than both (more speed, more turning, higher stall speed, less front foot pressure and more technical overall).
I can compare the K1210 versus ART999, found the ART to be better pumper/glider and faster while the Kujira is better low end and much better turner. I heard the 1095 is really awesome turner and probably the best high-performance wing available.
Interesting !
I have both and would say the 1095 is easier to use because it keeps its lift even at a very low speed whereas the ART 999 will be more tecnical.
999 is faster than the 1095
999 pumps faster and better or at least it will help you to move faster from point A to point B while reconnecting wave or when you are wingfoiling it.
1095 has better turning ability in my opinion : I used 350 progressive with the 999 and 178 with the 1095 (34cm wingspan)
This 1095 has an impressive Glide once you are up and flying. better than the 1210, and turns also better than the 1210 , but I would not say it goes as fast as my 980.
I'm looking forward to push the tests with both foils at surffoiling... Two really awesome foils.
darn it, not another wing to buy already ...
I can't quite read the specs - wingspan and area, etc. can anyone post them here?

Wingspan is 1099 mm , AR is 10,6 according to Axis website
Surface=(109,9)^2/10,6=1139cm2
