Visited Shell Point at Taren Point today, spoke to the owner and it looks like they have a viable solution anyone interested in doing some work on their yacht. They have a cool looking powered cradle system, with both train wheels and rubber tyres, and an open bottom, so if the tide gives 2 metres you can effectively get a 1.95. Draft yacht up. Then wheel it in position, put some stands down and wheel out. This is primarily for the owners Sydney ferry fleet, but he is happy to fit in pleasure boats as well, sort of a by catch so to speak!
There is plans still for a conventional travel lift type lift as well. They can cater for large cats and 30 to 50. Monos
no commercial interest other than I will probably use the facility to strip my AF next winter.

Any word on the future new lift out section to the west of the building?

Hi Saltie,

Ian said it was happening. So for now they can get medium draft keel boats and catamarans out on the sled system.
