Romona why was it so cheap is it damaged ?
The owner is ill and the MSB were on to him to do something. The teak is had it and there are holes in the ply on the sides midship which has allowed rain water in. I have screwed down some ply to make her seaworthy. Very little damage inside, some ply at the rear bulkhead will be replaced. Chart table is buggared. Kubota has some water in it and rotates but it's hydro locked. The worst problem is the two speed self tailing primary winches have been stolen. radio etc is gone but they left the Tacktick instruments! Has a hydraulic backstay, Hydra net headsail. two spinnakers. It's a good deal.

Let's hope you don't have the problems Andy had but your not wrong there is $5000 worth of lead in the keel congratulations mate you now own a fleet of two of Australians iconic yachts
Now, this is just crazy cheap. Don't care what the interior is like, someone needs to buy this quick so I don't!
Ha ha, well done! Glad to see her going to someone that will bring her back to her former glory. And now Ramona is available with a publicly documented history so whoever is thinking of purchasing her will be comfortable in knowing that she has been well maintained, better than any survey!
Enjoy the new boat.
I don't understand why this boat has not sold!

Because it has a timber hull? "...triple diagonally planked in Queensland maple, cold moulded and dynel sheathed"
(I'm not commenting on the qualities of GRP v Timber, but timber does not sell as easily as GRP).
Wondered what ever happened to this old girl?
Lydia, you would remember her?
Looking a bit tired :(

Wow, there's a lot of work and cost to get that one back, and twelve winches!! A mate has a stablemate of this Adams, and it was riddled with osmosis. So if anyone is interested, make sure you get a surveyor with the proper equipment and expertise to assess the hull fully.

A very interesting Adams Blue water now on the market, not that I'm biased although she is the sister ship to mine and I would highly recommend this yacht design !

She looks like a Adams/Radford mix Wavesong , An Enclosed wheelhouse would be a luxury and she's well priced although the main engine seems rather rusty I would be looking into that.
I also would not buy another boat that doesn't have a walk through transom and sugar scoop/duckboard personal preference.

I believe that one is an expanded (not extended) version of the Adams 35 Motor Sailer.
Been on one that was round bilge, glass shiny royal blue topsides, white decks and a varnished timber wheel house that was big enough to have a party with 20 people.

Just thought I'd show you my set-up. The telescopic swim ladder extends from beneath the duckboard.
That's a sweet duckboard wavesong, I was in the process of getting simular manufactured for my old Adams "Icon" but it ended up being easier just buying a new yacht with a built in sugar scoop and cut out transom.
I'm not a real fan of teak but now after grinding back the sikkens sealer I'm rather happy with the natural teak finish, I shall do the rest of the cockpit when the whiting aren't bitting!

cole 43 for sale with YOTI in sydney.
Gosh! Yet another cruiser selling up.
I know at least 8 long-term, full-time cruisers who have put their boats up for sale in recent months.
However, like someone else said in this thread, boats are being bought super quick. Interesting times

While its hard to believe it seems we only boat owners for a limited time.
Enjoy
How true is that.......limited time..........well said. It's not a practice run......time keeps going while we prevaricate around the bush and steer kids in the right direction and get them back on the rails when needed.......so all good that needs to be done......I woke up just in time to get into club (and inter-club) racing around 2014 at the young age of 60 in the Farr727 then Ross930 2016 onwards..............in both boats made up for lost time by going hell for leather at it and continuing...............while just now taking on the 13th 1/2 life refurb of a 1/4 tonner yacht as a harbour daysailer............will be my last. Have to use the kayak more.............let's do it eh.

If I was looking for a new boat I would take a look at this

I believe that's the steel 36 motorsailer stuck here at the moment. Royal blue hull with a simply stunning paint job. Varnished uppers. Delivery crew were towed in yesterday. Whole lot of mainly electrical and hydraulic problems from sitting about in Port Hacking unused for several years. It's on it's way to Tasmania. The delivery crew were not all that happy! The paint work is better than you would see on new cars! It has been here before. Broken down then too and spent time waiting for parts for the injector pump.
