Looking promising for Rosebud Saturday and Sunday. I know there's a couple of finals on, but kitesurfing trumps watching men with funny shaped balls running around in shorts for me. Anyone else?

I was at Rosebud from 10am - 1pm it was bloody really good fun... Hung on to a 10 metre and a very old TT... Did some boosts caught up with some guys I have not seen in a long time... Rosebud on a northerly is pure magic...

I was there saturday arvo. Was good. And quiet. Sunday I'm afraid I chickened out due the the 35kn forecast. Sounds like it was good though.

I was there 11am when wind picked up pumped up a 5 as did another, wind abated a bit put up a 7m instead had a ball then wind dropped what felt like completely, packed up and ready to go wind comes in again, put up an 8m had another bash until wind dropped out again. Packed up then wind came in again. I had one dry wetsuit left out of 3 but I didn't want to get completely knackered so I left.

I don't think it got to 35 but got close. It was entertaining watching punters running in to land their overpowered kites, and even stomach churning to watch some guys hot launching 10+m kites off the grass. What a friggin circus! Might go an find a quieter spot next time.

Unless you got there early you didn't miss out. After 11 am the 50kn hit it was not much fun. Guys on 5m kites overpowered. One guy was doing massive boosts but he was no amateur everyone else just trying to hold an edge.

That makes me feel a bit better. Hope there wasn't any horror stories.

Surprisingly, no. Everyone was super helpful when the wind hit and landed kite after kite.

One guy had his brand new kite meet a tree, only cause he left it on the grass un anchored, and it wasn't a cabrinha!
