Hi All,

Looking for somewhere to go today with a nice Northerly. I see a lot of people saying Rosebud, but wondering if Frankston or Mornington would be ok.
We are definitely at the beginner stage!

Cheers,
Curly.

Mornington is not suitable for beginners due to limited launch zone, boats, reefs etc.

Northerlies don't always get in to Frankston but when they do it can be good.

Rosebud is probably the most reliable but be careful launching from the grass (gusty, trees etc) and it can get crowded.

Rye (where the polies go out) is an alternative to Rosebud.

Brighton is the other place but its NOT for beginners due to the consequences of drifting out into the bay past Green point.
