Hi ,

is the 2018 and updated 2019 really better than the "old" 2017 elite and is the new hook really better ?

thanks in advance

I had the 2017 and now have the 2018 version ( had a warranty claim but all sorted out)

The buckle system is a lot better on the newer version, there is 2 straps to tighten it down which makes it a lot easier to tighten and it is more secure i guess. I think that is a pretty big improvement otherwise the rest of it seems the same, I have done about a year of consistent kiting on my 2018 harness with no issues

The 2019 models have a new material hard shell. Which is much stronger. Allowing a smaller more ergonomic shape to be moulded. This means the harness fits better into your back.

And yes the buckle system updated in 2018 to a better version which is easier to get on and off.

Mixed feelings ...better because the 2018 has two straps holding the spreader bar down. However I found the buckle system has very little leeway(tight fit) meaning I always wore its smidge looser than I wanted to get it on. However very well made but I ended up selling it because it was becoming a faff
