Hello All, just got the WAM 2020 5.8" riding it with straps.
Missing responsiveness / snappy turns in small waves (up to a waist height) + a more loose feeling all together (tried with both light wind and strong wind - same results)
Board volume is 24.8 Liters, my height is 5'9" (180cm) and weight is 148 pounds (67 KG).
Would a smaller fin fix this? (currently comes with a M size fins)
If yes, to go for an S or XS size?
Other solutions?
Thank you, jb

If you're running straps it sounds like you have the regular WAM instead of the Pro WAM. Best advice would be to see if you can swap it for the pro wam which will be lighter and have more flex...

Failing that if you want to loosen up the board a bit i would swap out the BACK FIN ONLY for a size S or XS. At your weight you might be able to go to size S fins but you will loose some drive, traction in heavy wind and choppy conditions and upwind reach.

Agree with Billy , Pro Wam Also for me this is to much volume I am 80 kg and I am on 5'6" x 17. 1/2" 21 Lt And your self I would be even smaller size/ Lt You need to be able to sink your rails in And straps it will not help as well for the 5 '8" One of my junior riders Nat winner with your weight is on 5'4" 19Lts

thank you Billy & Smook, since I ride strapped only, also considering to move to the WAM 5.6.
