So, after chatting with Jas (WOK/WA Surf) we grabbed a North Surf chickenloop and fitted it to an Ozone bar. Why, you may ask? Well, I foil using a rope slider and didn't want to mess around with Ronstan rings and other gadgets to get unrestricted movement along the rope. The replacement loop took a bit of force to get the fixed end into place and the clock in end is a little fiddly to lock in as you have to push it in firmly and then pull back on it to have the cams lock into place (starting to be easier after just one session). Safety release is smooth though. Benefits - shorter reach to full depower, much smoother transition, no rings on ropes, less wear and tear on rope, no wear on CL and the movement along the rope is unnoticeable.

Just putting this out there that rubbing steel on a rope is far more agressive than rubbing a self lubing plastic.

Wider radius curve though on the chickenloop so I'd expect it to be less aggressive personally.

Completely disagree froghoppa. The normal chicken loop folds around the line and it gets worn fairly quickly. This SS lined CL remains open and has far less friction. I have tried both.

Thought that was possible when first shown the Norf loop, now you've proven it, no surprise though because the Norf one is a good copy of the Ozone.

Yep. The only thing they didn't appear to copy was the locating spline in the secured end. Maybe Ozone should be making a similar product.

Who's currently selling the north loop on its own and what price are they?
Will it go onto a 2016 ozone Megatron bar.

You mean the loop and mainline? Or just loop?

Loop on its own definitely wont work. Only with V4 click in Loop.

Can buy through WA Surf. They only fit the click in bar.
