Hi guys, I started doing kitesurf 3 months ago. Already bought a pair of kites (8 and 12) and looking for a board. Im 85kg and 1.8m
I'm still struggling with water start, so I want a board that helps me with my first months, something that makes my kitesurf experience easier while I'm learning. My budget is around $500

Thanks in advace guys

You could go for a massive big long wide board, but you'd probably be looking for an upgrade before long.

I think you'd be safe on anything 135 x 41 and bigger.

Thanks Chris, I will buy a litewave wings (155) for starting. I know that I will have to buy another board too, but that's in couple of months. Thanks for you advice

That could be a bit drastic because it could be hard to keep your edge engaged once you get up and going if the wind is moderate and above.

But hey, it's your progression and we all learn from our early mistakes/ decisions

I haven't got one, but something like Cab spectrum 148 x 44 think it is, has a bit of rocker will be a keeper for you later on light days and serve well to learn on

I gonna use it for learning the first months, and gonna keep it later for light winds. Meanwhile a friend of mine borrowed me a 138 carbon, I will use that one for more windy days (or after I learn to waterstart properly) Is that a good idea

Thanks

Had a spectrum it was ok but skatey jumped on a naish motion and was blown away by the difference between the two the motion is just nice to ride in chop in all conditions really
