Anyone know a dealer in Qld / Australia that sells Wainman Kites?

Wainman kites are no more. I sent them an email and they said they're going through internal business changes and don't know if they are going to be making any more kites. No spare parts or kites on the market except for second hand

He's been away from the buisness for a while so unconnected although his names attached to the brand
the smoke was the pick at 9 mtr

I spoke to Lou a few months ago and he was still keen to design and make kites but at the moment it's a mess and dead. So keep an eye open in the future.

There's an fleebay shop westoz kiteboarding perth seems to have a lot of Wainman bladders, also try Stonker /Murray Ceff in Vic Torquay he used to sell Wainman.

Shame to see another niche kite brand bite the dust, never flown them but they always looked good in the air and more interesting than the usual mainstream stuff.

They are great kites I've got the quiver from 6.25 up to 12. Great all rounder and near on bullet proof. As mick said the 9m smoke is the pick of the bunch . I still find though you can't beat a 30kn+ blast on the mr green and the 6.25 gypsy is unreal on a surfboard. Very stable in the air and sort of a park and ride kite.
Just jumped on the core kites this year and love em, still got a soft spot for wainman but my 9 m is nearly flogged out been 2013. It's a shame but hopefully a bit of rebranding or whatever it is they are doing and they'll back on the market
