Got caught out in a 40-50 knot hail storm today. Bloody hell it hurt. Luckily I was wearing a helmet and sunnies. At one point I had to drop into the water and get as much of my body under the water as possible to stop the hurt.

Side note. That was some hard out **** on the hydrofoil. 3.7m steam train swell 30-35 knot. Man the hydrofoil pulls so much power out of those fast swells. It was madness level stupid.

25 degrees and sunny here. Two prone surfs plus cracked out the 6'6 to remind me how to ride a SB again.

You can keep that weather man you crazy prick.

It was one of those days with squalls coming through every 20-30 minutes. The advantage of hydrofoiling as far as high wind is concerned is that you're on a silly small kite. I was on the 4m uno. Tapped out and trimmed in 30-35 for foiling (before the squall came through). But sunk in the water 40-50 knots was really easy to control the kite. It's not like I had to wrestle with an 8m in 50 knots. So the kite control thing was sweet.

Far harder than the squall was trying to ride the hydrofoil in those silly conditions. Man that was manic, Swell so fast, breaking surf more than 1km plus out to sea, it was hard out.

I do love a good storm session Eppo. I agree a balmy 25 deg light wind day is nice. But dang you certainly feel alive dicing it up on a stormy day hell out swell and stupid wind. It certainly keeps me entertained. In many ways i prefer it to the balmy summer days of same medioca winds and small swells.

Yeh true. We are STILL waiting for our storms. Winter is really late this year.
