Without a doubt Leo is way up there with his skill in wave and freestyle kiting.
The latest clip and it's huge.

"without a doubt" is a big call. So much wrong with this video. It looked like a long boring surf movie, freestyle usually amounts to a bit more than a couple of double spinny things.
And having a pantless child in the film means you're just peddling kiddy porn.

^^^^^^ lol.
I think it looks like all his other vids from the past few years? All filmed at Lakeys, all look the same?
There are other places with waves other than the over filmed lakey pipe.

Seems he has found a new mule to post his vids.

I thought you could, just saying
Yeah not saying he dosent ride good, just looks the same as every other vid from previous years, could be the same one?
Says he's chasing sponsors and support etc, but think if that's what he's after the vids should show something different from 4 years ago and not the same thing at the same spot.

The guy seems pretty skilled. But smacking a lip 50 times gets a bit boring to watch.

Some good advice given to me that helped a lot was to " leave the twinny at home ". Actually nailing a couple of gybes at last

He is ripping. A great vid.

just really amazing to watch him nurse the board through the 2nd half of almost ever snap. I think there is only one or two where he drives a rail through the entire turn. It looks looks like he is unweighting flattening the board and forcing it horizontally- making it cavitate to complete the turn.

imo he is either totally overpowered or that board is a couple of inches too wide through at the tail, too thick or the rails are not rolled enough.

interested to hear what others think.

He's a ripper for sure. That edit is way more entertaining than 90% of the riders in the GKA events.

For anyone who says it's a boring or repetitive edit please upload something better so we can all critique you.

I get the feeling that the breeze keyboard warriors will always look
for a negative angle in anything Leo related.

Agree, would love to see him riding the core wave board for good waves (ripper 3) with round pin tail.

I love Core kites, especially the section but that kite looks horrible in the air. Early in the vid its jellyfishing like mad.

Same with the board, no drive out of the turns just slides sideways like a twinnie. Great skills all the same but it didn't make me want to buy their board or kite.

Incredibly good to see someone drive a semi trailer with a motorbike engine and make it work.

For sure, he was frustrated!? ....

Lol.

bet he spent more time on a normal surfboard that day and this is just a clip to keep core happy.

Just watched the clip. You keep wanting him to have less power and less horizontal pull on those more vertical rentries.

Absolutely ripping. Some waves of consequence right there, great critical turns.

Why anyone would want to compete in the gka is beyond me.
You could barely cover flights with the prize money if you don't end up on podium and then you gotta call yourself a sailor too! " sanctioned by world sailing" lol, oh and it's a wave comp where they still compete with no waves :-0 and you get to be world wave champion :-0

Because you compete against the best and get to hang with your mates and do what ya like. That's why.

The guy can kitesurf that stub nose board looks loose as, I agree with someone above 5 mins of lake pipe and nungas gets repetitive.

Completely agree with eppo. It's surprising that with his ability and talent, after smashing the lip he doesn't sometimes reduce the power a little and surf out of the wave rather than skidding out powered up. On some occasions the powered up move is necessary to make the next section but not always. He has no problem at all stalling the kite when tube riding. Pretty awesome vid though!!
