C'mon it's 5 hours drive from Sydney or Brisbane, it's hardly in danger of becoming inundated with kooks The last time I was there, there were about 4 or 5 other kiters out on a massive beach on a windy Saturday arvo.

yes place is called flat top and the local guys are so friendly and love visitors.
Nth or sth wind,just google map the road that runs past the sewer works depot and retirement village,leads to bush carpark.
All visitors welcome,the more the better specially learning twin tips.
