Got a mate who has a woo and just tries to go high, has stopped learning new stuff because off his fixation. Is this a common problem? When I was learning it was said to always try something new on every run.
After watching this, I don't see the point of a woo, bit of fun maybe.

I haven't ridden a twin tip in years but I still love seeing crew boost high. The woo encourages people to jump higher. Everyone's loves different things about kiting. I love that about kiting. Some love low wake tricks others love stylish wave riding others love boosting 10m +.
If it entertains people over a season and stops them from buying a SUP.. then cool

well said BJW,

Since buying one would say I have got caught up in trying to jump bigger numbers although my PB is from day two and jumps since seem to be on the decline. It is not that easy to jump big. Kite flying, edging and timing are still to be refined. Just grabbing an oversized kite pulls you off yr edge and down wind.

Im trying to bring myself to downloop on the way down for softer landings but gees the learning phase may not be so soft.

Hard to find a balance as I want to play with all disciplines but until I hit my goal height Im definitely fixated... but not sure its a bad thing

I find the piq a good judge of height.
It's ****ing depressing yet exciting to be knocked from number one on the piq! I must say the lad that knocked me off top is one of my mates. We are by no means pros lol. I've been getting counciling after the incident. I've also been in training to come back with an inevitable 25plus jump. It's pushed me to start nailing powered loops and some other style (Jesus walk will be nailed by Chrissy). My biggest jumps are on Vegas his are on rebels. An hour after my record jump my kite bust in half. This season I'm not fecking around and getting new gear. I've been looking at the edges the enduros the evos the Vegas the FX, switch blade and the screamers. I sent a few e mails to the brands yet no reply suppose it's them not caring about my competitive Health lol.

Kiting has always given you a feeling of going bigger than what you actually did. The WOO makes it 10 fold worse.
Jumping the height of a 7 story apartment block puts in perspective.

not sure what yr saying, you think the 25m read on the piq is BS? and reading pros get up around that mark also BS.
How high you think they really go for discussion purpose?

Height is the only true progression.
Boogeyloops at extreme altitude and megaloops are the only real tricks worth doing.
Maybe board off megaloops too.

No way, I'm progressing -- I'm getting really good at kicking my legs up over my head mid-jump

12m ish. Nice jump.

At the apex kick flip the board off... get another 2m on your 25m woo jump.

What are you trying to say pin puller. Are you saying those two jumps are measuring the same on a woo. Thought you used piq
