It's the Wing-Surfer. Looks like Naish got the jump on their competitors releasing the latest wind tech must have which has been done before. I have seen F-One are also developing their own so i'd imagine all the major kite companies will have these available soon.

Surely these are a super niche item, it seems odd so many companies are coming out with them.

Wouldn't it only really be possible to use with a sup foil or perhaps a sup or big windsurf board. As far as I can tell it wouldn't be possible to water start on a small board with one of these??

Looks like it would work better if one end was attached to the board with some kind of universal joint and the leading edge was more like a yacht mast type thing.

^^^ Yes. Nearly sprayed coffee all over my keyboard :)

Cunningly combining the worst elements of windsurfing and suping to take money from people who can't be bothered learning to kite...

Haha! Fairly certain this type of gimmick will not be produced by Ozone. There will be a massive fire if they do!

Has anyone thought past these images and imagined what it will be like to try to get to the beach in 20+ knots, Wangwing in one hand and the even larger and heavier SUP/foilboard in the other.
Looks like Robby has a wrist leash, they probably had a lot of these left over from back in the day, and he has a leggie as well. I want to see the video of someone getting into or out of the water and water starting!

And Slingshot.

I've got a Kitewing IV8 which is great for playing around in confined spaces where lines would get in the way ie. carparks and lamp posts.

Need a good amount of wind, especially on grass or sand. Haven't touched it in years though.

I'd rather foil with a kite, and if you want absolute minimal kite interference, something like a Peak4 is the answer...

Looks like it would be better suited to a skateboard or land board. Bound to see them in car parks soon.

Oh no!!!! I'll get the flame thrower ready!

These things really look like they should be thrown off cliffs or tall buildings.

Negative nancies!! People including myself thought foiling was a lame idea and some people still do. Until you try it.

Nek minute Haaa

I'm having fun just visualising someone trashed by a little wave, getting the old school pull one leg & one arm torture with a battle axe trying to chop something off

Years ago had a kite with adjustable canopy size for real.
RRD Type six. An old 15m C kite that had a zipper running full length of the centre strut.
It tried to kill me more than once...hahah

I am so glad Ozone and others are against this crap. It's a huge step back for the industry and if it persists, then clearly Foilers are Not Kite Boarders.
