I have a Slingshot dwarf and the H2 that we use for prone foiling and now my youngest son is using it for kiting. We have the two smaller masts and are looking for the 90cm or larger but there aren't any available in Aus that we can find. Was down the beach the other day and noticed the Cabrinha and North Masts look pretty much identical in plan shape any body got any idea whether they all are the same extrusion just anodized and labelled differently for the brands?

Good question - I wondered the same! I guess they are similar but the end fittings are where they differ....

You'd need to check bolt position and the profile of the mast -- pull your plate and fuselage and see if they fit.

I know that the original Naish and LF masts were identical, and several brands did indeed share supplier and just "paint" them company colors.

I am pretty sure the Moses alloy are compatible with the Slingshot. Moses Chord is a bit deeper (116mm vs 114mm) but the space between the crews is the same (50mm).

Looks like Foilsports in VIC have the 95cm Moses in stock.

I wouldn't be sure of the Moses Slingshot cross over, best to ask foils port.

Hey Horey,

Moses and Slingshot do have some cross over. Slingshot Ghost Whisperer is simply older designs of Moses masts and wings. I suspect the Slingshot masts were used in the Moses Alu setups. However, I believe Moses may have ceased with the Alloy masts.

DM,
Yeah I know the Moses/Slingshot story, was just thinking Ali. I've seen a few blokes try and fail with other brands.
Looking forward to the Phantasm dropping.

In one of Gunnar's unboxing vids, he tried to put the Moses ali mast into the slingshot baseplate and concluded they weren't compatible.

Must be profile difference as I understand the bolt hole spacings are identical. Apparently you can even use a Moses/Slingshot adapter (Stringy or Foilmount) to bolt a standard Moses fuse to the Moses ali mast, instead of buying the special Moses ali mast fuse..

Even different years of the same brand can trip you up, 2019 Naish mast won't fit a 2018 Naish foil, slight profile change.

There is an adaptor to fit a Slingshot mast into a Moses fuselage so I doubt they work the other way round.

It's to adapt the Slinshot alloy to the fuselage that normally goes with the Moses carbon mast. Moses have 2 fuselage. One to suit carbon mast and one to suit their alloy mast.

Having said that, I haven't compared the masts profiles of Slinshot and Moses alloy. Slingshot connection system on their larger wings has a snug fit to suit their mast profile, if Moses is just slighly thicker then it won't fit.
