Is a 8m a good size or general size for foiling.

Was thinking 8m enduro or is the 3nduro no good for foils

How long is a piece of string?

Wind range, wing size, skill level, location, style of riding, rider weight.........

I have only used an 8m for foiling since 2016. In fact now have a full quiver of 1x 8m Zeeko Notus Air
plus 1x 9m 2011 zeeko Krush that I use for easterly boosting in Shallow inlet ( cause I couldn't cope if my 8 hit the stupid wooden boat ).

Depends on what type of foil you are riding, how much you way etc. 8 Enduro is a good size if you are skilled, and they are fine as a foil kite. Rep is perhaps a bit better especially with the drift aspect of the kite. But if you already have an Enduro, that will do just fine.

I use an Ozone Alpha 8m - great kite for foiling as you don't have to worry about it dropping out of the sky in the lulls.

As a couple of the crew have said, there are multiple variables in the mix.
I use my 7m sst a lot, but the 5 m sst has been getting a work out lately.
If it's it's solely for foiling why not consider a one strut option or even a foil kite.
Lots to consider, talk to the locals then demo as much as you can.
Either way get out there and enjoy the magic of foiling.

8m Enduro is the main kite that Antoine from JShapes uses for foilboarding. Having said that I have a 8m Enduro but dont use it for foilboarding, which is usually a boosting session in 14-20 knts. I have used my Enduro for foilboarding, which was fine, but I enjoy the 12m foilkite more. A good plan may be to use whatever kites you currently have to use as a bench mark from which to guide you toward the best kite for your style and average foilboarding session conditions. My feeling is an 8m Enduro would tick lots of boxes.

If you foil and TT = Enduro
If you foil and Wave = Reo/Alpha. Alpha for super light winds, Reo for higher winds/small kites.

Check the ozone website with the specs for each of their kites, the Enduro is the least performing of the 3 for light wind foiling but would still be OK.

Decided to pick up the 4m Ghost V1 for those 25knot days

8 enduro is my most used kite
10-20 on the foil then 20-35 on the mutant.
