Hi All,

I hope everyone is stoked for the upcoming foiling season ahead. Here are few shots from a magical session in the Shark Bay area a few days ago. The water was so clear it felt a bit like foiling in a pool!

Hi Leigh

yes they are drone shots. You can camp in designated campsites in the Shark Bay area, either in the national parks or in town (Denham). Free camping isn't allowed.

We are here in Spring (September/Early October) and Autumn (April-May). However, there is a kite school there (Shark Bay Kitesurfing / Damien) that can give you information, tours, etc in any time of the year. Damien can also advise you on various accommodation options.

You will love this place

It's been on my to do list for awhile.
Does the bay live up to it's name?
Is that a Airush foil your on?
If so I would like a bit of a review if you don't mind?

Hi Leigh,

certain locations such as this one we like to keep more secret. We will happily take you there and also to plenty of other locations when you get to Denham.

cheers

As you drive in to Denham it all seems to pan out in front of you.
we spent 2 days at Monkey Mia but no wind, but looked a sweet spot for foiling.
the RAC caravan park is good but brand new so trees are 2' high.
direct access to beach.
i reckon 4wd is a must to really get into it, there.
i think it was in Denham I read about a trip out to an island which described a world class wave break.

What surprised us in spring September was how cold the conditions were after we left Exmouth and headed south.
Got to Coronation cold as one arvo reckon I had a touch of hyperthermia.
We got 3-2 steamers next day in Geraldton.Arrh warmth.

Great to see another businessman honestly recommending competitors. The guy at Ikon kites was only too happy to tell me how good Airush and Core kites are. Didn't get that kind of honesty anywhere else.
