NZ Kiteboarders Put Head On Aussies in NKL Round 3

Competitors represented New Zealand in Round 3 of the six round series, with the top Freestyle and Big Air riders for the state now heading for the Grand Final in February 2017.

At the close of competition, the New Zealand riders topping the rankings were:

Freestyle Men's 1st: Jackson Mills Men's 2nd: Ethan Waitoa Men's 3rd: Gustavo Boada Big Air Men's 1st: Hamish Pretty Women's 1st: Ticiana Fettermann

President of Kiteboarding Queensland & Northern Territory Inc. (KBQNT) and NKL Event Director, David De Witt, said Round 3 of the NKL series has put the heat on the rivalry between New Zealand and Australian kiteboarders for the national championship.

"It's been an exciting few days with perfect kiting conditions, and we've seen some incredible talent out on the water from the New Zealand kiteboarders," he said.

"We would like to congratulate all the winners and competitors and look forward to seeing the showdown between the Aussies and the Kiwis in the Grand Final in February 2017."

The NKL now sets is sights back in Australia for Round 4, with New South Wales' top riders heading for their event in Sydney from 20 - 22 January, 2017 at Dolls Point Beach.
