Become a Kiteboarding Instructor!!!

The Kite Republic Team is running an IKO Instructor Training Course in St Kilda, Melbourne, from Saturday, October 2^nd to Wednesday, October 6^th.

Location:              St Kilda, Melbourne

Dates:                   Saturday, October 2^nd to Wednesday, October 6^th  

Cost:                      $950... the cheapest it's been for a long time

The Eligibility Criteria is as follows:

• Be at least 18 years old (will not receive certification until 18 years old)
• Kiteboarding/Snowkiting for at least 1 year and be a certified IKO kiteboarder/snowkiter level 3 minimum
• Have an IKO Assistant Instructor certification (Water only) or provide an attestation (letter of recommendation) of a teaching experience in a water or aerial sport
• Have a valid first aid certificate or complete it before the ITC with the IKO Examiner running the course
• Pass online Pre-ITC course (compulsory starting 1st of June 2009)
• Kiteboarding only: complete the IKO powerboat certification course or have outside powerboat certification

If you do not currently hold a first aid certificate we suggest you visit www.stjohn.org.au or www.redcross.org.au . As well as these there are a number of surf lifesaving and other organisations that run these courses.

Accommodation: We would recommend Base Backpackers ( www.stayatbase.com ). If you can't find a room there then as long as you are staying in the St Kilda area you won't be too far from the course.
